borosilicate glass, native Swiss water plants
Swiss Botanica explores the quiet resilience of plants adapted to thrive in challenging environments. Through a series of constructed microenvironments, Justine draws attention to the wonder of organic growth—how a plant pushes roots into resistance and expands into the space it’s given, no matter how limited.
Each chosen species is native to regions shaped by extremes—capable of filtering water during both drought and flood. They are cornerstones of resilience and repair. In their quiet persistence, they offer a symbol of endurance and renewal.
